I am Colman Otunga, a poet, playwright and filmmaker. I have been playing words and stories for as long as I can remember; for defense, survival and entertainment. I wrote my first play, “Waiting for March ” in 2017 which got me an invitation to a KITF residency and later it featured in the Kampala International Theatre Festival in the same year. From that moment, I knew I had found my true calling. I have spent the last 6 years growing myself as a writer, through workshops, seminars and I even went ahead to get a Bachelor’s degree in Drama and Film at Makerere University. After this long journey, I return with my next play; Root of All Evil which I developed as a project for my writing class last year.
