Ulokcwinyu Ubia Hope is a graduate of Makerere University that holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Arts

in Drama and Film. She is a performing Artist that cuts across all media for example Stage, Screen

and Radio. She is a poet that uses the name Obiamwrights and a writer that takes pleasure in short

stories.

She is the Team leader of Obiamwrights Foundation that does Applied Theatre, founder of Poem

On The Mic- a poetry slam in Kiryandongo and an advocate with Refugee Law Project-

Kiryandongo. She has acted on stage in various projects like Theatre for Mental Health and Theatre

for Schools where she acted as Jessica and a Servant to the Princes in William Shakespeare’s, “The

Merchant of Venice” and acted as Jamie and a Towns person in the musical, “My Fair Lady.” She

is a graduate of the 2021 Emerging Artists’ Lab Cohort from Tebere Arts Foundation. She is a

voice actor that has acted in Projects under Theatre for Development under Makerere University

and co-wrote an audio play, “Songa Mbele” with Kitaka Alex that featured in the first audio
