In its new space, the festival pledges the best and very well-crafted stage performances from different parts of the world; from Lebanon to Zambia, from Ethiopia, to the United States of America, and most importantly performances by our own Ugandan theatre makers, playwrights and performers.

“We can’t wait to host you and have conversations with you about the arts and the theatre landscape in our country. Karibuni sana!”, says Asiimwe Deborah Kawe, Co-Curator of the Kampala International Theatre Festival.

For five full days, audiences will enjoy unique theatrical experiences alongside workshops, post performances conversations, and other engaging activities in a quiet and friendly environment.

The 3rd edition of the Kampala International Theatre Festival is presented by Open Society Uganda, Sundance Institute Theatre Program, USA for Africa and Bayimba Cultural Foundation.
